We would like thank the many people who have offered their financial support to The Good News Foundation. The money raised will go directly to a number of charitable causes including the Good News Grant Program and The Ruth Ashton Taylor Academic Scholarship Award.

As we begin our second year as a 501c(3) charity, The Good News Foundation has really come a
l-o-n-g way. Grants have been presented, committees formed, clothes collected and people working at competing television stations—all of the sudden—have something ‘good’ in common. But we know there is still a lot more ‘good’ we can do—and we can’t get it done without a little help from our friends. That’s why we are looking for 100 people, who work in Los Angeles television newsrooms, to each donate $100 dollars to the Foundation. Those who pledge their financial support will become a part of our ‘Good News 100 Club’. Be a member, and your name will go on our website—and you’ll know that your donation will help continue to fund our annual Ruth Ashton Taylor scholarship, as well as other grants and programs for those in need in greater Los Angeles.

Although The Good News Foundation is supported by a strong network of journalist employed at various television stations, networks and syndicated outlets—any donation made to the Foundation, by corporations or individuals, in the form of money, goods or services, is done so without the expectation of any preferential news coverage by the dedicated reporters, anchors, editors and other news personnel who support the mission of The Good News Foundation. |
